I wonder if he plays the banjo? He has a side blog devoted to banjo pics, so probably so. One of the bands I play with has a guitarist that doubles on banjo. Works really well on the Eagles songs we do.

I may well be one of the world's most foremost authorities on banjo jokes.

In any event, as a native Houstonian, I have a strong interest in Houston history, and this post by Banjo remembers late Houston reporter John Whitmire here http://brazosportnews.blogspot.com/2009/12/remembering-john-whitmire-reporter.html.
