WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS

It's been raining pretty regularly in my part of Texas, and in lots of parts of Texas that don't normally get a lot of rain, like down around the border with Mexico. It's been raining pretty good lately, and that reminds me of the way it used to be in Houston summers, with a midday downpour a common occurrence.

Last year it was dry as a bone in lots of Texas. Serious drought.

So this year, there are lots more fishing opportunities around. Lots more water = more active fish and healthier fish. Fresh and Salt. More water in the Gulf Coastal and Central and South Texas regions means more water flowing into the bay systems, keeping the proper balance of salinity there.

And I've always had pretty good luck fishing in the rain.
